November 4, 1981 Henry Clarke, Business Representative Contra Costa County Employees Association Local #1 P. O. Box 222 Martinez, CA 94553 Dear Henry: This is to confirm our agreement regarding the Conservatorship/ Guardian assignments recently added to the Mental Health Treatment Specialist classification. Any employee in a classification represented by Local #1 who is assigned to a position in the Conservatorship/Guardian Unit, which requires direct personal working contact on a regular daily basis with court reded clientele of the Conservatorship Program, as specified in Division 5, Fart I, Chapter 3 of the Welfare and Institutions Code, shall receive a differential per hour worked at a premium of 5% of the hourly equivalent of the base rate while in pay status including paid vacation, paid sick leave and paid holidays. This provision shall remain in effect only through June 30, 1983. It is our mutual intention that the provisional appointments of the initial incumbents will terminate and selected employees will be permanently transferred into the Mental Health Treatment Specialist class on December 11, 1981. Christmas/New Years holiday vacations of transferred employees which were already approved by the Social Service Department and which were presented to and approved by the Health Services Department as a condition of transfer will be honored. Approval of these vacations will not, in and of itself, impact upon vacations of other permanent employees in the same classifications.
