CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA
In the Matter of
}
Establishing Rates for Child ) RESOLUTION NO. 81/1013
Placement Institutions )
)
The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors RESOLVES:
1. The Board has considered the matter of rates to be paid to child care
institutions used for the placement of delinquent or dependent children, and many of such
rates must be set provisionally, subject to retroactive adjustment in accordance with the
determinations of the Bay Area Placement Committee (BAPC), and other authorized rate
setting bodies.
2. The rates listed on the schedule attached hereto are hereby established as the
maximum monthly or hourly rates for the institutions named, beginning on July 1, 1981,
and until June 30, 1982, subject to the following provisions:
A. As to the prior fiscal years noted, all such rates are interim rates and
are adopted with the express proviso that they are subject to retroactive adjustment to
permit increases effective on or after July 1, 1981 if (a) the Bay Area Placement
Committee or any other rate setting body authorized by the State of California or by any
other California county takes action recommending an increased rate and (b) this Board
approves an increased rate, effective on or after July 1, 1981.
B. This Board retains the right to grant rate increases effective on or after
July 1, 1980 and for the 1980--81 fiscal year only, in accordance with Resolution No. 80-
1068.
C. All such rates are maximum allowances and lower or going rates below
the maximum are to be paid whenever possible.
D. This resolution does not authorize payment of medical costs. The child
care institutions must separately bill the California Medical Assistance Program for
medical costs.
3. Clothing Allowance. In accordance with the following schedule, the County
Welfare Director or the County Probation Officer, or their designees, may, by written
direction, authorize payments in addition to the rates provided herein to provide needed
clothing for each child placed or replaced and to provide needed "back-to-school"
clothing annually. No more than the maximum amount shown shall be paid for clothing
for any one child in any one fiscal year (July 1 - June 30).
