HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011981 - 1981-1009 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Proposed Resolution No. 81/1009 Amendment of the County General (Gov. Code Sections 65355 & 65356) Plan Big Break Area The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: There is filed with this Board and its Clerk a copy of Resolution No. 31-1981 adopted by the County Planning Commission recommending amendment to the Land Use and Community Facilities Element of the County General Plan in the Big Break area of Oakley. The Board this day held a hearing on said Plan as proposed by the County Planning Commission Resolution No. 31-1981. Notice of said hearing was duly given in the manner required by law. The Board at this hearing called for testimony of all persons interested in this matter and several individuals appeared and provided input. Following full consideration of the amendment by the Board members, Supervisor T. Torlakson moved that the decision on the property controlled by Kaufman- Broad be deferred to September 15, 1981 at 10:30 a.m. to allow staff to provide the Board with a report on available industrial land in the East County area. Upon second by Supervisor R. I. Schroder, the motion passed by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Fanden, Schroder, Torlakson, Powers. NOES: Supervisor McPeak. ABSENT: None. Further, the Board members approved the amendment to the County General Plan as recommended by the County Planning Commission for the property controlled by the Hofmann Company and directed the County Planning Department to incorporate the proposed amendment into a combined amendment to the General Plan which this Board will consider for adoption during the 1981 calendar year as one of the three permitted amendments to the County General Plan. A Final Environmental Impact Report (EIR) on the General Plan Amendment has been prepared as required by law and said EIR has been read and considered by this Board. The Board incorporates by reference and adopts as its own findings the statement of environmental impacts and corresponding mitigation measures on pages I and 2 of said Commission Resolution No. 31-1981. Passed by the Board on September 1, 1981 by the following vote: AYES: Supervisors Schroder, Torlakson, McPeak, Powers. NOES: None. ABSTAIN: Supervisor Fanden.
