',WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Contra Costa, California on. December 17, 1968 adopted its
Resolution Number 69/898 expressing appreciation for the official
and community services of _"Ir. Louis H. Martin, 11-4artinez, California,
who serves as the United States TV"arshal for the Northern. District
of California, and urging, President-elect Richard fit. Nixon to retain
Mr. Martin as Marshal of said district; and
'� EREAS ?fir. Martin has not been. advised. by President
Richard. M. Nixon that his services are to be retained,- and
WITERNAS this Board of Supervisors is convinced that
Mr. Martin can continue to reader outstanding, services in his prey-
ent - official capacity,
NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RES'OL ED that its
Resolution. Number 68/898 of December 17, 1969 is hereby CO FIR7 YD
and President Richard M. Nixon is urged to take action to retain
the services of Mr. Louis H. Martin as United States Marshal for
the northern District of California, and Senators George Murphy and
Alam Cranstonare asked to contact the President and request him to
retain the services of :Mr. Martin..
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 24th day of June, 1969, by the
