OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Employee Benefits ) for Agricultural Workers . � RESOLUTION NO. 69/89 WHEREAS agricultural workers in California and in other states of the United States of America do not now have coverage under the National Labor Relations Act; and WHEREAS agricultural workers in California do not have the same coverage under state lams as apply to other workers during periods of unemployment; and WHEREAS agriculture represents a vital component of the national and state economy and a stable force of agricultural workers with adequate living standards are essential to the national and state well being; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOAR? OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED that its repre- sentatives in the Congress of the United States and the Legislature of the State of California are urged to carefully consider the employment status of agricultural workers, the extension to them of the provisions of national and state legislation applying to other workers, and the means of implementing of said laws . PASSED AND ADOPTED this 28th day of January, 1969, by the following vote of the Board : AYES: Supervisors J. P. Kenny, A. M. Dias , T. J. Coll., E. A. Linscheid, J. R. Moriarty. NOES: None .
