HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011969 - 69-857 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of the ) Lanterman-Petris--Short Act } RESOLUTION NO. 59/857 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: 1. Paragraph l of Resolution 69/401 as amended by Resolution 69/603 ie hereby rescinded and the following paragraph 1 (a) and (b) substituted: 1. (a) "The County Hospital is hereby designated as a facility for 72-hour treatment and evaluation, and in respect thereto all physicians and surgeons , clinical psychologists and marriage coun- selors licensed to practice in California, and ten (10) social work supervisors selected by the County Social Service Department are hereby designated the professional persons referred to in Welfare & Institutions Code §5150. " (b) "Any physician employed by the Veterans Administration within the State of California, is hereby designated as a professional person: authorized by this county to takeorcause to be taken, a person into custody and to place him in a facility designated by the county as a facility for 72-hour treatment and evaluation. 2. Paragraph 2 of Resolution 69/401 as amended by Resolution 59/603 is hereby rescinded and the following paragraph 2 (a) and (b) substituted: 2. (a) "The County Hospital and the State Hospital at Imola, California, also known as the Napa State Hospital, are both hereby designated intensive treatment facilities authorized to provide intensive treatment for an initial period of 14 days pursuant to Sections 5152, 5230 and 5250 and other related sections of the Welfare & Institutions Code and for an additional period of 14 days pursuant to Section 5260. " (b) "Hospitals of the Veterans Administration located in the State of California are hereby designated for eligible veterans as approved facilities of this county for 72-hour treatment and evaluation, for court ordered evaluation, for 14-day intensive treatment, for I4--day additional intensive treatment , and for post- certification treatment.
