RESOLUTION ORDERING ANNEXATION
OF BYRON HIGHWAY (CAMINO PA:BLO
AREA) TO COUNTY SERVICE AREA L-47
The Board of. Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
On October 14 , 1969 , this Board adopted Resolution No. 69/675,
initiating proceedings for the annexation of 'Byron Highway-
Camino Pablo Area to County Service Area L-47 . This annexation
had been proposed by this Board, and the resolution of application
for the proposed change in organization was duly ,,filed by a
representative of the Byron Chamber of Commerce with the Executive
Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission. The reason for
the proposed annexation is to provide said territory with street
lighting services .
On October 1, 1.969 , the Local Agency .Formation Commission
approved the resolution of application without condition, declared
the territory proposed to be annexed as inhabited, and assigned
the pr=oposal designation as "Byron Highway-Camino Pablo Annexation
to County ;service Area L-'47. " The exterior boundaries of the
territory to be annexed are as described in Exhibit "A" attached
hereto and by reference incorporated herein, and are located
entirely within Contra Costa County .
The Board 's Resolution No. 69/675 fixed 10 :00 a.m. on Tuesday ,
November 25, 1969, as the time for a public hearing on the annexa-
tion of the above said territory. Notice of said hearing was duly
given by (l) publication in "The Brentwood News ," (2) posting on
the Board's bulletin board, and (3) mailing notice to all persons
and counties, cities or districts which had filed a written request
for special notice with the Clerk of, the Board. This Board, at
the time and place set for said hearing,, heard the determination
of the Local Agency Formation Commission read aloud, and then
called for evidence or protests as provided for by Government Code
,Section 56314.
This Board hereby finds that the proposed annexation of Byron
Highway-Camino Pablo to County Service Area L-47 is in the best
interest of the people of above said. County Service Area. This
Board hereby finds that the above said territory ,is inhabited, but
that the written protests filed and not withdrawn represented less
than 25 percent of the number of; landowners within such territory
owning not more than 25, percent of the assessed value of land
therein; and Less than 25 percent of the voting power of voters
entitled to vote as a result of residing in or owning property
within such territory. This; Board hereby orders ,Byron Highway-
Camino Pablo as described in Exhibit'' "A" annexed to County ,Service

The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to file his
certificate of completion with the Secretary of State in
accordance with Government Cade Section 56451.
