HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011969 - 69-59 IN THE- BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STAT: OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Appointing ) a Member to the Board of } RESOLUTION NO. 69/59 Directors of the Delta Mater ) Agency. } } The Delta Water Agency was established as a result of the passage of Assembly Bill No. 942 and encompasses essentially the entire Sacramento— San Joaquin Delta as defined in Section 12220 of the California eater Code, with some changes . Enabling legislation, designated as the "Delta Water Agency Act ," is set forth in the California dater Code Appendix at Section 108 - 1.1 et seq. , and provides that the first Board of Directors shall be appointed by the respective Boards of Supervisors of the County in which a "Division" or "Divisions" of the Agency exist; "Division One" of the eleven Divisions , comprising the Agency., consists solely of lands 'in Contra Costa County and is represented by one member on the Board of Directors . Mr. William R. Baldwin, of Byron, California, a resident and voter of and property-owner within the Delta Water Agency, has exhibited uncommon interest in all. aspects of the Delta's water and environmental problems and has _ acquired extensive knowledge of the factors affecting solutions to these problems; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT RESOLVED that Mr. William R. Baldwin, is hereby APPOINTED to represent "Division One" of the Delta Water Agency, and that said appointment shall become effective immediately . PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st day of January, 1969 by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Thomas John Coll , Edmund A. Linscheid, James E.
