RESOLUTION CONCLUDING HEARING ON COUNTY
SERVICE AREA F-2 REORGANIZATION TO DISSOLVE
COUNTY SERVICE AREA F-2 AND CONCURRENTLY FORM
THE TASSAJARA FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT SUBJECT
TO THE CONFIRMATION OF THE VOTERS
The Board of SuDervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
On June 17 , 1969, this Board adonted Resolution No. 60/386
Initiating proceedings for the reorganization by dissolution of
County Service Area F-2 and concurrent formation of the Tassalara
Fire Protection District . The reorganization had been proposed.
by this Board. A resolution of application for the proposed
reorganization was filed by the Board of Supervisors with the
Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission on
May 14 , 1 69. The reason for the proposed reorganization is as
set forth in the application for, reorganization and is that this
Board feels that the residents of the proposed Tassajara Fire
Protection District should control their own fire protection
affairs .
On June 43, 1969 , the Local Agency Formation Comnission
approved the application subject to the following terms and
conditions :
(a) The Tassajara Fire Protection District shall be
the successor of the dissolved County Service
Area F-2 .
(b) The Tassajara Fire Protection District shall succeed
to all of the assets (including, <real property) and
liabilities of the dissolved County Service Area F-2 .
(c) The Board of Supervisors shall be the governing
body of the fire district , with five commissioners
to be appointed pursuant to Health and Safety Code ,
Section 13884 .

(d) The effectivedateof the fire district formation
shall be prior to January 1 , 1.970, and the effective
date of the service area dissolution shall be
June 30 , 1970.
The Local Agency Formation. Commission assigned the proposal
designation as "Tas'sajara Pire Reorganization" . The exterior
boundaries of the territory composing County Service Area F--2
and of the territory composing the proposed Tassajara ?sire Pro-
tection District are the same, ,and said boundaries are as
described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto, and by reference incor-
porated herein. The subject area is located entirely within
Contra Costa County.
The Board's Resolution No . 69/386 fixed 10 a.m. on Tuesday,
July 29, 1969, in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors',
Administration Building, Martinez , California, as the time and
place for a public hearing on the proposed reorganization. Notice
of said hearing was duly given by (l) publication in the "Valley
Pioneer" , (2) posting on the Board 's Bulletin Board, and (3) mall_
ing notice to each affected district , each person who had filed a
request for special notice with the , County Clerk, and the chief
petitioners , if any. This Board, at the time and place set for
said hearing, had the determination of the Local. Agency Formation
Commission read aloud and then called for evidence or protests as
provided for by Government Cade Section 56434, and no protests *Fere
made either orally or In writing by any person or taxpayer.
This Board hereby concludes and closes its hearing on the
proposed reorganization of County Service .Area F-2 by dissolution
of County Service Area F--2 and concurrent formation of the
'?'assajara Fire Protection District . This Board will render its
decision on the proposed reorganization as soon as it receives
from the Election Department an appropriate date upon which to
hold an election in the district . The ratter of maki'n�r, a decision
and of setting, a date for an election in the district should the
decision of this Board be in favor of the proposed reorganization.

PASSED AND ADOPTED on July 29, 1969 , by this Board.

Beginning at the intersection of the southern boundary of Contra Costa
County with the eastern line of Section g, Township 2 South, Range 2 East,;
Mount Diablo Base and Meridian; thence Northerly along the eastern line of
sections 9 and 4, T2S, R2E, and Section 33, TIS, R29, and along the northern
extension of the eastern line of Section 33 to its intersection with the
eastern extension of the northern line of said Section 33; thence Westerly
along said eastern extension and along the northern line of Sections 33, 32
and 310 T15, ME, and along the northern line of Section 36, Tis, RiE, to
the northwestern corner of said Section 36, being the southeastern corner
of Section 26, TIS, RIB; thence Northerly and Westerly along the eastern
and northern lines of said Section 26 to the northwestern corner thereof,
