TN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Opposinq } the Passaere of Senate Bill } Number 66:3. RESOLUTION NO. 69/488 WHEREAS Senate Bill Number 663 is now receiving the consideration of the California, State Legislature: and WHEREAS said bill provides that counties be required to use Medi standards of financial eligibility and liability for cost for medical care in order to receive reimbursement under Medi--Cal; and WHEREAS said bill would, if enacted into law, revoke state commitments under the "option" plan, attempt to standard- ize medical eligibility in situations which may lack comoa.rability, Complicate county policies and efforts aimed at obtaining in whole or part reimbursement for the cost of care from patients with a Capacity to pay, and serve to jeopardize the provision of medical Mare to persons faced with rata-- strophic medical, problems; NOrK, TH'`'I.2EFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF T""E COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA. RESOLVED that it opposes the ,passage of Senate Bill Number 663 and urges its representatives in the California State Legislature to w;rk vigorously to prevent passage of said bill. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of July, 1969 by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors J. P. Kenny, A. M. Dias, E. A. Linscheid, J. E. Moriarty. NOES: none. ABSENT: Supervisor T. J.
