HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011969 - 69-269 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Seeking ) Funds for Enlargement of RESOLUTION NO. 69/269 Mt, Diablo State Park. } WHEREAS the Contra Costa County Recreation and, Natural Resources Commission has advised. this Board that the State Depart- ment of Parks and recreation has developed the ultimate desirable boundaries for Mt. Diablo State Park, a recreational area Located in Contra Costa County, and that a continuing source of funds will be necessary in order that the Department may continue to acquire ownership of land within the presently approved perk boundaries; and WHEREAS the increasing amount of residential development taking place within the County of Contra Costa makes it imperative that adequate steps be taken to preserve open space and recreational lands for public enjoyment; NOW, THEREFORE. on the recommendation of the Centra Costa County Recreation and Natural Resources Commission, BE IT BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that the State Legislative Representatives of Contra Costa County ARE HEREBY URGED to make every effort to see that necessary funds are provided for the enlargement of Mt. Diablo State Park. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 22nd day of April, 1969, by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Alfred M. Dias, Thomas Jahn Call, Edmund A. Linscheid, James E. Moriarty. NOES: None* ABSENT: None. RESOLUTION NO. 69/269
