Tax Roll Work for the City }
by the County.
}
WHEREAS this Board on March 11, 1969 appointed a special
committee (comprised of Supervisor J. P. Kenny, Supervisor A. M. Dias,
the County Assessor, the County Auditor-Controller, and the County
Administrator) to review a proposed agreement with the City of
Richmond for the performance of assessment and tax roll work for the
city by the county with the understanding that the city will pay the
county .for actual costs incurred in performance of said service; and
WHEREAS said committee recommended that the proposed agree-
ment between the city and the county be approved provided that the
contract is amended so that it will remain in effect for only one
year and in any event for not more than two years ; and
WHEREAS said committee also recommended that the proposed
transfer of city assessment personnel (two employees ) from the city
to the county be left in the hands of said committee for further
discussion between all parties concerned; and
WHEREAS City of .Richmond officials presented a revised
agreement covering the period from March 1, 1969 through December 31,
1970 and urged its approval as the most practical term for the pro-
posed agreement within the intent of the recommendations of aforesaid
committee;
NO'YT, THEREFORE IBE IT BY THE BOARD RESOLVED that the recom-
mendations of its special eornittee are APPROVED with the understanding
that the term of said agreement shall be from March 1, 1969 through
December 31, 1970 as suggested by City of Richmond officials; and
BE IT BY THE BOARD FURTHER RESOLVED that its Chairman is
AUTHORIZED to execute said agreement on behalf of the county.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 18th day of March, 1969, by the
following vote of the :Board:
AYES: Supervisors J. P. Kenny, A. M. Dias,
T. J. Coll, E. A. Linscheid, J. E.
Moriarty.
