Fenstermacher, ) RESOLUTION NUMBER 69/183 Former Judge of Pittsburg } Judicial District Court. } WHEREAS the Honorable Oliver F. Fenstermacher has resigned from the office of Judge of the Pittsburg Judicial District Court; and WHEREAS Judge Fenstermaeher served with distinction in his judicial post from October 1966 to March 1969 and left office so that the Pittsburg and Antioch Judicial Court Districts might be consolidated to form the River Municipal Court District and allow the Judge of the Antioch Judicial District Court to become the judge of the River Municipal Court, for which a single judgeship is pro- vided; and WHEREAS Judge Fenstermacher, a native Californian, has a notable record extending over the years from his student days at Stanford University, at which university he was awarded his law degree, to decades of service as a successful attorney, meritorious military service in World War II, active and effective participation in community affairs and bar associations, devoted attention to his fine family, and service as a judge in a very trying period for the Judiciary; NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA RESOLVED than it extends to the Honorable Oliver F. Fenstermaeher its sincere compliments on his outstanding work as an attorney, soldiers community leader, and judge, and its deep appreciation of his gracious assistance in effecting a court consolidation for the purpose of improving the lower court system of the county. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 11th day of March, 1969, by the following vote of the Board: AYES: Supervisors James P. Kenny, Alfred M. Dias, Thomas Jahn Coll, Edmund A. Linscheid, James E. Moriarty.
