RESOLUTION NO. 69/12
RESOLUTION OF PRELIMINARY DETERMINATION THAT THE
PUBLIC CONVENIENCE AND NECESSITY REQUIRE THE INI-
PROVEIIENTS AND ACQUISITIONS TO BE 4MADE IN ASSESSMENT
DISTRICT NO. 1969-1 , ROUNDH'ILL ROAD, CONTRA COSTA
COUNTY, CALIFORNIA
BE IT RESOLVED by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Contra Costa, State of California, as follows :
1 . That there has been filed with this Board of Supervi-
sors a petition signed by the owners of more than 60 per cent
of the area of the property within the boundaries of the pro-
posed assessment district outlined in the map which is on file
in the office of the County Clerk of the County of Contra Costa,
and entitled, "'Proposed Boundaries of Assessment District
No. 1969- 1,, Roundhill Road ,Contra Costa . County, California; " that
said petition requests that special assessment district proceed-
ings be instituted to construct certain improvements and make cer-
tain acquisitions within the boundaries of said district, and
that the cast and expenses thereof should be assessed upon the
property within the boundaries of said district.
2. Preliminary determination is hereby made that the
public convenience and necessity require the following improvements
and acquisitions to be made and paid for by special assessments ,
levied upon the property benefited and that necessar`� special

assessment proceedings should be taken therefor.
3. The nature of the proposed improvements consists
of the construction of curbs , gutters , street pavement, storm
drainage utilities , and other utilities as may be required, and
the acquisition of rights-of-way.• necessary thereto.
4. The cost and expenses of the payment of said improve-
ments and acquisitions will be borne by an assessment district
which shall be known and designated as Assessment District No.
1369-1 , Roundhill Road, Contra Costa County, California, and
the boundaries of said district are hereby shown upon that certain
map on file in the office of the County Clerk of the County of
Contra Costa, and designated, "Proposed Boundaries of Assessment

5. It is further determined that LEP'TIEN-CRONIN.
COOPER shall be Engineer of Nark in accordance with the terms
and conditions of the petition hereinabove referred to, and the
contract to be entered into. It is further ordered that STURGIS ,
DEN-DULK, DOUGLASS & ANDERSON, Attorneys at Law, Oakland, Califor-
nia, shall be Special Bond Counsel to prepare all proceedings
in accordance with the terms and condiditions of the petition
hereinabove referred to, and contract to be entered into.

6. Said special assessment proceedings are to be taken
under the provisions of the Improvement Act of 1911 of the State
of California , with bonds to be issued under the provisions of
the Improvement Bona Act of 1915.
7. Inasmuch as the owners of more than sixty per cent
of the area of the property within the boundaries of said pro-
posed ,assessment district have signed a petition for said work,
and said property owners have waived any proceedings required
by the Special Assessment Investigation, Limitation and "Iajority
Protest Act of 1931 of the State of California, therefore said
Act shall not apply to said proceedings.
I HEREBY CERTIFY that the foregoing Resolution was duly
and regularly adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of
Contra Cost., State of California, at a regular meeting thereof,
held on the 14th day of January, 1369, by the following vote, to wit :
