REPO UTION OF INTENTION TO ADD AN EXTENDED
SERVICE TO COUNTY >SERVICE AREA RD-1 AND
CHANGETHE NAME OF SAID C=OUNTY SERVICE AREA,
TO COUNTY SERVICE AREA M-11
The Board of Supervisors of 'Cont'ra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
County Service Area RD-1 is, already formed and in existence
and comprises the territory describe in Exhibit "A" attached '
hereto and by reference incorp11 orated' herein. This Board is of
the opinion that public convenience and necessity; require that the
service of <street lighting be provided within said territory in
addition to the road maintenance' services already provided.
This Board» hereby declares Its intention to provide street
lighting services within County Service Area RD-1. Except where
funds are otherwise available from service charges collected pur-
suant to Government ' Code Section 25210.77x, a tax sufficient t'o
pay for such additional extended,' service s will be levied annually
upon all the taxable property within said area.
This Beard also declares it's intention do change ; the `name of
said County Service' Area RD--1 to County Service Area M-11.
At 10:00 a.m. an Tuesday, January. 28, 19`69, in the chambersof
the Board of Supervisors, C=ounty; Administration Building, Martinez,
California, this Board will conduct a public hearing upon the
question of providing such additional extended county service within
the area. At the hearing the testimony sof al'l. interested ;;persons
or taxpayers for or, against the addition of the extended service
will be heard.
Upon the completion of these proceedings', the Public Works
Department will be authorized by, the Board to install ,approprate
street lights as requested on non-county maintained roads in the
said territory.
The Clerk of this Board is directed to publish notes of said
bearing in the "Morning :News> Gazette" pursuant to Government Code
Section 6061.
