Janes, Jr., prominent Danville, California attorney and. community leader, on November 28 , 1968; and WHEREAS Mr. Janes, a graduate of Stanford University, was well known to all Contra Costa County officials over a period of many years through his active and continuing interest in local government affairs particularly in planning and ineorporati'on ratters; and WHEREAS Mr. Jones, a paraplegic for most of his adult life as a result of an accident during his service as an officer in the United. States Navy, overcame this handicap to become an outstanding lawyer and a staunch and rigorous advocate of programs aimed. at community betterment; and. WHEREAS Mr. Janes was widely recognized for his leadership dualities and was accord.ingl.y often selected to serve his fellowmen as an officer in community and professional organizations; NOW $ THEREFORE, HE IT BY THE BOARD OF SUPERV"ISOT-IS OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, CALIFORNIA &SOLVED that it expresses deep regret on the passing of Mr. Roscoe D.
