PROCEEDINGS FOR DETACHMENT OP .SUBDIVISION 2991
NORTHEAST ORINDA AREA* F-R I4 OUNTY SERVICE AREA
L-45 AND FORMATION OP COUNTY` SERVICE 'AREA i M-9.
The Board of Supervisors of Centra Costa County j',RESOLVES ' THAT:
This Board hereby , determines that , pursuant to the Knox-Nigbet Act
(Gov.; C. 54773 et seq. ) and the District Reorganization Act of
19615 '(Gov. C. ,;56000 et; seq. ) , It proposes to initiate proceedings
for the detachment of Subdivision 2991 from County Service Area
L-45 and the formation of an approximate 350 wore $i.ng1e-,own er

parcel. Into County Service 'Area M--9 The exterior boundaries of
the territory ;to be detached from County- Service Area 'L*-45 pursuant
to the District Reorganization Act of 1565 are as described in
Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by 'reference incorporated. herein.
The territory to be detached Is uninhabited. The said detachment
is not be be effective until County; Service Area M-9' is formed.
The exterior boundaries of the territory proposed to be included
in County Service Area M-9'; are as described in Exhibit "B" attached
hereto and by ,reference incorporated herein. A map show .ng the
boundaries of proposed County Service Area -9 is also attached
hereto and by reference incorporated herein as Exhibit 1'C". The
principal act. under which County Service Area M--3 Is< to be farmed
is Title 3, Division 2 , Part 2 , Chapter'' 2.2 ' (commencing with >
Section 2521.0.1.) of the Government Code. Mr. Jerry, F. J .ger,
President', Orinda Downs Corporation., 5 Moraga Way , Orinda, Cali-
fornia 94563,, is named; as the person to be furnished' with a copy
of the Executive Officeris' report and mailed notice of the hearing.
The reason for the proposed detachment is to provide the territory
described' in Exhibit "All withstreet sweeping services and parkway
maintenance services, 'i.n addlt1on to the street Lighting; services
furni'shed, by runty Service ;Area L�45. The reaaon for the proposed
formation is to provide the terrltory described In Exhibit "B" with
street lighting services , street sweeping services, and parkway
maintenance services.

It is hereby requested that the Local Agency Formation Commission
of Contra Costa County tale ;all necessary proceedings upon the
proposals contained herein, that this Beard of Supervisors be
given approval o its propozal to. initiate the detachment of
Subdivision 29:91 from Counter Service Area L-45 and the formation
of County Service Area M-9.
The Clerk of this Board Is hereby directed to file a bertlfied
Copy of this Resolution of Application with the Executive Officer
or the Local Agency`` Formation Cowtission.
PASSEDAND ADOPTED on November 26 , 1968, by this Board.
