(Orinda Crossroads area).
RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH UNDERGROUND UTILITY ZONE No. 5
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County has adopted
Ordinance No. 68-10 (Ord. C . 7801 et seq. ) which provides for the
establishment of Underground Utility Zones in those areas of the County
where the public health, safetyt or welfare requires the removal of
the overhead distribution system from the public streets, alleys or
ways, and the replacement thereof with an underground system.
It is the intention of this Board to conduct a public hearing to
ascertain whether the public health, safety, or welfare requires the
removal of the overhead distribution system from the public streets,
alleys or ways of the unincorporated area at Orinda Crossroads, being
the entire road right of way along the herein named streets between
the described termini:
(a) Mora a W11 northerly from the southerly line of
Lot 45, Moraga Estates subdivision (22 m 627) to
the intersection with Bryant Way;
(b) All of Bryanay

(c ) Davis R—oa-F-westerly from West line of Lot 2,, Moraga
ESEMS to intersection with Bryant Way;
(d) Bates Boulevard southerly from northerly line of Lot 1
Moriji Estates to intersection with Davis Road-,
(e) Camino Pablo easterly from the east side of State
HIFw-ijgo-ute 24 to intersection with Moraga Way;
(f) Brookwood Road northerly from the north line of Lot 36
S 'the "Resu—Rivision of Enoinas De Moraga" tract
(21 M 591) to intersection with Moraga Wayt- as shown on
map on file `in the Office of the Clerk of the Board.
At 11:00 a.m., on Tuesdayp December 17, 1968, in the Chambers of
the Board of Supervisors, County Administration Building, Martinez,
California, this Board will conduct the said public hearing on the
proposed establishment of Underground Utility Zone No. 5 In the area
hereinabove described and at that time will hear the testimony of all
interested persons for or against the establishment of the Zone and
will determine if the public health, safety, or welfare requires estab-
lishmentof this zone and if the roads In this area are extensively used
by the pneral public and carry a heavy volume of pedestrian or
vehicular traffic .
The Clerk of this Board is directed to publish the text of this
resolution at least once in the "Orinda Sun".* a newspaper circulated
within the hereinabove described area, at least seven (7) days prior
to the date herein fixed for the hearing.
The Clark is further directed to notify all affected property
owners and utilities by mail of the time and place of such hearing
at least ton (10) days prior to the date thereof,
PASSED AND ADOPTED on November 12,- 1968 by this Board.
