HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011968 - 68-794 f IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Establishment of underground Utility Zone No— 3 RESOLUTION NO. 68/794 (John Glenn Drive, Concord area) . } j RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH UNDERGROUND UTILITY ZINE NO. 3 The Beard of Supervisors of Contra: Costa County RESOLVES THAT; The; Board of SUppervisors of Contra Costa County has ,adopted ordinance No. 68-10 (,Ord. C. 7801 et seg,. ) which provides for the establishment of 'Underground Utility Zones in those areas of the County where the, public health, safety, or welfare requires the re- moval of the overhead distribution system from the public streets, alleys or ways, and the replacement thereof with an underground system. It is the intention of this Board to conduct a public hearing to ascertain whether the public health, safety, or welfare requires the removal of the overhead distribution system from the public streets, alleys or ways of the unincorporated area along all of John Glenn Drive between Concord Avenue and its northerly terminus within Buchanan Field Airport, Concord, as is delineated on map copy of which is on file in the office of the Clerk of the Board. At 11:00 a.m. , on Tuesday, December 17, 1968, in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, County Administration Building, Martinez, California this Board will conduct the said public hearing on the pro- posed establishment of Underground Utility Zane No. 3 in the area hereinabove described and at that time will hear the testimony of all interested persons for or against the establishment of the Zone and will determine if the public health, safety, or welfare requires estab- lishment of this zone and if John Glenn Drive is extensively used by the general public and carries a heavy volume of pedestrian or vehicular tr'aff I-- . The Clerk of this Board is directed to publish the text of this resolution at least once' 'In the "Concord 'Transcript," a newspaper circulated within the hereinabove described area, at least seven (7) days prior to the date herein fixed for the hearing. The Clerk is further directed to notify all affeoted property owners and utilities by mail of the time, and place of such hearing at leastten ( 10) days prior to the date thereof. PASSED AND ADOPTED on November 12, 1968 by this Beard. RESOLUTION NO 68/794
