WHEREAS the Board on October 29, 1968 received the report
and recommendation of its Public Works Committee (Supervisors J. P.
Kenny and E. A. Linseheid) concerning county policy on 'county road
construction in relation to future city annexation and 'incorporation
s ituat ions, and
WHEREAS the Board on October 29, 1968 fixed this time to
consider said report and recommendation; and
NOW, THEREFORE, on the recommendation of its Public Works
Committees BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that the policy can expendi-
ture of county funds for the construction of roads in cities be in
accordance with the "Aid-To-Cities 'Allocation Polity's of the Board
of Supervisors for projects on the City-County Thoroughfare Systems
subject to the following modifications
1. When a county road contract has been awarded
by the Board of Supervisors and the area
involved is annexed to a city or included in
the area of incorporation of a new city sub-
sequent to the contract award and prior to
completion of the work, the contract road'
work will be completed at county expense,
2. County agreements to construct paving in
particular areas in accordance with the
county "Frontage Improvement Policy" shall
terminate upon incorporation of annexation
of said areas, as .is sat forth in said policy;
3. Special city-Bounty agreements may be made
under unusual circumstances such as in the
case of the proposed Joint Exercise of Pagers
Agreement with the City of Concord in connection
with the Street Brand Improvement Program of said
city,
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 6th day of November, 1968s by the
following vote of the Boards
