District RESOLUTION ORDERING McLAI I.MO.PGANIZA€ION BYDETACHMENT OF C1ERT IN TE1�RITORY FROM THE SAN RAMON FIFE R TECTIC: DISTRICT AND CONCURRENT ANNEXATION OF THE SAME TERRITORY TO THE "ALLEY COiYMNITY SERVICES DISTRICT The Board of Supervisors of 'Contra COata County RESOLVES T-HAT- On July 23, 1968, this Board adopted Resolution No. 68/489 initiating 'proceedings for the reorganization; by detachment of �erLair territory from the San Raman Fire Protection District and concurrent annexation of the same territory to the Valley jCommunity Services District . This reorganization had been proposed to thi Board by Lahey,' Community Services District. The application for the proposed reorganization gas filed with the Executive Secretary ' of the Local Agency Formation Commission on May 28, i968. The reason. for the proposed reorga.ni.zation is that the best fire pro- tection can be provided by the Valley Community, Services District ,,! as the said: territory would otherwise be subject to dual. taxation for such service. On July 3 , 1368, the Local Agency 'Formation Commission approved the application' subject to the following terms and conditions (a) The boundaries of the proposed annexation and detach- moment were .mended and are to be described In attached Exhibit "A" . (b) Upon annexation, said territory is to be subject to applicable provisions of Salley Community Services District ordinances. The Local Agency Formation Commission de-clared that the terri- tory proposed to be detached and annexed is uninhabited, and assigned the proposal deslgnati.on as< ""chain Reorganization (Valley Co muni.ty Services District}r` . The exterior. boundaries, of the territory proposed to be detached and. annexed are as described in Pxh :bi.t "A" attached >hereto aid by reference incorporated herein, and are located entirely Within Contra Costa County . -1- RESOLUTION l- RESCi. TICT NO. 68/595 The Board'sa Resolutlion M. 68/489 fixed l0 a.m. on Tuesday , August '27, 1968 In the Chambers of the Board Qf Supervisor« , Admini- stration Building, Martihes, California, as the time and Place for a public hearing on the proposed Ireorg ni. ati.on. ;Notice of said hearing was duly given b (1) publication in the "Valley Pioneer" , Q) posting on the Board's Bulletin oan d and (3) maillng notice to each affected district, each person who had filed a request >for special notice with the County Ciera,, and the ' chief petitioners , if any. This Board, at the time 'and place sett for said gearing, heard the- determination of the Local !Agency Formation Commission read aloud and then called for evidence ph protests as provided for c.� ' rzt Government Code Section 56434, and no protests were made `" Wither orally or in writing by any pe;:rson` or taxpayer. TbQ Board;hereby finds ' that the proposed reprg;an<.ization will be in the beit 'interests of toe People of said San Ramon Fire Protection District and Valley Community Services District . This Board also finds that the above said territory is 'uninhabited and that no landowner owning property in the above said territory filed a,written. protest . This Board hereby orders and declares the aforesaid reorganization without an election in compli.ance with the provisions of Government Code Section 56438. The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to file his certificates of completion with the Secretary of State in accord- an';e with Governments Cade Section 56431 .
