County Fire protection. District, RESOLVES THAT: 1. Annexation axed Recommendation. Pursuant to Board Resolutions `7 9 , _ �1 9;... r_. 1623/391, Local Agency Formation Commission approval on November 15, 1967, and a. special election. on June 4, 1968, the territory of the City of Martinez was annexed to the Contra Costa. County d=ire Protection District as of July 1, 1968, which annexation has been accomplished; and the County administrator recommends this formalization of the vacation and sick leave status of city fire department employees affected by this annexation. 2. Civil Service St-at Effective on July 1, 1968, consistent with the TIM-14 actio, cited above, and ursuant to County civil ;Service Commission action on July 23, 1969, and to Health and Safety Code Section 13882, all former full time paid personnel of the City of Martinez Fire Department are accepted into similar classifications in the Contra Costa. County Fire Protection District and are extended full Civil. Service Status consistent with provisions of the County ard.inamee Code, the Civil Service Rules and Regulations, and this Board's policies for this District. 3. Accrued Vacation. Effective July 1., 1968, these employees ' vacation accruils a.nd schedules, certified and recorded as of June 30, 1968, shall be accepted as such in the :district, but shall be canceled if not used as vacation before January 1, 1969. 4. New Vacation Weruals. Beginning January 1, 1969, these eu plc ye T: 11 eirn .c cin accruals, and shall begin the calendar year 1969 with a balance of one year vacation accruals, pursuant to the provisions of Ordinance #1997. 5. Sick Leave. Effective July 1, 1968, sick leave balances and schedules for these employees, certified and recorded as of June 30, 1968, shall be accepted as such in the District on the basis of multiplying each one 's sick leave balance by thirteen- eights, and thereafter each shall accrue sick leave as prescribed in Ordi nano e #1288.
