IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Expressing Appreciation to Police and } Fire Agencies for Cooperative } RESOLUTION NUMBER 68/432 Efforts during Richmond Area } Emergency Situation. } WHEMAS serious disturbances and a situation of extreme hazards to the safety of persons and property developed in the Richmond area of the county,, 'both in incorporated and unineorpo- rated sections on June 260 1968; and WHEREAS conditions were such as to require the City of Richmond and the County of Contra Costa to operate under declara- tions of emergency and to impose' curfews ., and WHEREAS it was necessary to 'invoke mutual aid provisions and call for cooperative action by a number of police and fire agencies ; and WHEREAS each agency called upon, responded promptly and rendered effective assistance ; NOW, THEREFORE', BE IT BY THIS BOARD OF SUPERVISORS RESOLVED that it extends to all of the following agencies its sincerer appreciation and commendation for their emergency aid and directs the Clerk of the Board to send to each of said agencies a copy of this r+esolution'z Police Age mies San Francisco Police Department Alameda County Sheriff Ban Mateo County Sheriff Richmond Police Department Berkeley' Police Department Oakland Police Department California Highway Patrol Concord Police Department Walnut Creek Police Department Martinez' Police Department El Cerrito Police Department Kensington Police Department .Daly City Police Department Pacifica Police Department Belmont Police Department Redwood City Police Department South San Francisca Police Department Burlingame Police Department City of San Mateo Police Department RESOLUTION NUMBER: 68/x,32 _... ..__..... _ . _...._._.._... __ _. ....... .......__. ........ Fire Agencies Orinda Fire Department Crockett Fires Department Rodeo Fire Department San Pablo Fire Department Kensington Fire Department Martinez Fire Department Contra Costa County Fire Department El Cerrito Fire Department E1 Sobrante Fire Department Pinole Fire Department Lafayette Fire Department Santa Rosa Fire Department Stockton Fire Department Valley of the Moon Fire Department Rancho Cordova Fire Department; and BE IT BY THE BOARD FURTHER RESOLVED that it extends to the Office of the Contra Costa County Sheriff its compliments on the well organized coverage and effective police control which that office provided in the aforesaid serious situation. PASSED and ADOPTED this 2nd day of July, 1968 by the following vote of the Board.- AYES: oard.AYESz Supervisors James P. Kenny, James E. Moriarty, Thomas John Coll , Alfred M. Dias . NOES: None.
