The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
On April 16, 1968, this Board adopted Resolution No . 68/249
initiating proceedings for the annexation of certain territory
within the Via Serena and Las Trampas area, Alamo, to County Ser-
vice Area L-45 . This annexation had been proposed to this Board
on October 9, 1967 by a petition signed by over fifty percent of
the property owners in the area proposed to be annexed. Resolu-
tion of application for the proposed change in organization was
filed by the 'Board of Supervisors with the Executive Officer of
the Local Agency Formation Commission on March 11 , 1968. The
reason for the proposed annexation is to provide said territory
with street lighting services .
On April 3 , 1968, the Local Agency Formation Commission
approved the resolution of application with the recommendation
that the Board of Supervisors order the annexation subject to the
confirmation of the voters , declared the territory proposed to be
annexed as inhabited, and assigned the proposal designation as
"Via Serena Annexation to County Service Area L-45". The exterior
boundaries of the territory proposed to be annexed are as described
in "Exhibit A" attached hereto and by reference incorporated here-
in.
The Board's Resolution No . 68/249 fixed 10 A.M. on Tuesday,
May 28, 1968 as the time for a public hearing on the annexation
of the above said territory. Notice of said hearing was duly
given by (1) publication in the "Valley Pioneer", (2) posting on
this Board's Bulletin Board, and (3) mailing notice to all persons
and counties , cities or districts , which had filed a written re-
quest for special notice with the Clerk of this Board. This Board,
at the time and place set for said hearing, heard the determination
of the Local ;Agency Formation Commission read aloud , and then

people of the above County Service Area. This Board hereby finds

protest does not exist , pursuant to Government Code Section 56316 .
