Code 56320 , 56322 } 56323, 56451) RESOLUTION ORDERING DETACHMENT OF CERTAIN TERRITORY WITHIN THE CITY OF ANTIOCH FROM THE ISLAND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: On May 14, 1968, this Board adopted Resolution No. 68/313 Initiating proceedings for the detachment of certain territory within the City of Antioch from the Island Fire Protection District . A mandatory resolution of application for change in organization by said detachment had been filed by the City of Antioch with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission on April 8, 1968. The reasons for the proposed detachment are: (1) the only area in the City of Antioch still remaining, in the Island Fire Protection District is a small parcel of approximately two acres ; and (2) the City desires that the entire City be in the same District areas. On May 1, 1968s the Local Agency Formation Commission approved the resolution of application, without condition, declared the territory proposed to be detached as uninhabited and assigned the proposal designation as "City of Antioch Detachment from the Island Fire Protection District". The territory proposed to be detached is described in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by reference Incorporated herein. The Board's Resolution No. 68/313 fixed 10 :15 a.m. on Tuesday , June 25, 1968, as the time for a public hearing on the detachment of the above said territory . Notice of said hearing was duly given by (1) publication in the "Antioch Ledger", (2) posting on the Board's Bulletin Board, and (3) mailing notice to all persons and counties , Cities or districts which had filed a Written request for special notice with the Clerk of the Board. This Board, at the time and place set for said hearing, heard the determination of the Local Agency Formation Commission read aloud, and then called for evidence or protests as provided for by Government Code 56314, and no protests were made orally or in writing by any person or taxpayer. -1- RESOLUTION NO. 68/413 This Board hereby finds that the proposed detachment of certain territory within the City of Antioch from the Island Fire Protection District is in the best interest of the people of said city and said Fire Protection District . This Board hereby finds that the above said territory is uninhabited and that no land owner owning property in the above said territory filed a written protest . This Board hereby orders that certain territory within the City of Antioch as described in Exhibit "A" be detached from the Island Fire Protection District without election and without being subject to confirmation by the voters upon the question of detachment . The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to file his certificate of completion with the Secretary of State in accord- ance with Government Code Section 56 +51. PASSED AND ADOPTED on June 25, 1968 , by this Board.
