Code See . 56360 , Contra Costa County 56361, 56362 , 56363) RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEDURES FOR DISSOLUTION OF ISLAND FIRE PROTECTION DISTRICT OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTY The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: Dissolution of Island Fire Protection District , which is located in Contra Costa County, has been proposed by the Board of Supervisors. Resolution of application for the proposed dissolution was filed by the Board of Supervisors with the Executive Officer of the Local Agency Formation Commission on April 2, 1968 . The reason for the proposed dissolution is that said dissolution of the district will be for the best interests of landowners as well as present and future inhabitants within said district . On May 1, 1968, the Local Agency Formation Commission approved the resolution of application subject to the following condition: "After dissolution, the present and future district assets be distributed as follows : 60 percent to County Service Area F-3 36 percent to County Service Area F-4 4 percent to County Service Area F-5" At 10 : 15 a.m. on Tuesday, June 25, 1968, in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, Administration Building, Martinez , California, this Board will conduct a public hearing on the proposed dissolution. At the hearing the testimony of all interested persons or taxpayers for or against the proposed annexation will be heard, and any interested person desiring to make written protest thereto must do so by written communi- cation filed with the Clerk before the hearing. A written protest by an owner of land must contain a description sufficient to identify his land, and a written protest by a voter must contain his residential address . RESOLUTION NO. 68/314 -1- At the conclusion of the hearing the Board of Supervisors shall either disapprove or approve the dissolution in accordance with Government Cade Section 56366 . The Clerk of this Board is HEREBY DIRECTED to publish the text of this resolution once a week for two successive weeks in the "Pittsburg Post Dispatch," a newspaper of general circulation published in this County and circulated in the territory wherein the proposed dissolution is situated, the first publication to be made not later than fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date. The Clerk of this Board is also directed to post the text of this resolution on the bulletin board of this Board at least fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date and such posting will continue to the time of the hearing. The Clerk of this Board is FURTHER DIRECTED to give notice by mailing; notice of hearing at least fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing date to each affected county, city or district , and the chief petitioners , if any, and each person who shall have theretofore filed a request for special notice with the Clerk of this Board .
