HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011968 - 1968-240 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS t7i+ CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of the Establishment ) of Underground Utility Zone No. 2 ) RESOLUTION N0. 68/240 (Lafayette area). ) RESOLUTION OF INTENTION TO ESTABLISH UNDERGROUND UTILITY ZONE NO. 2 The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT: The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa Counter has adopted Ordinance No. 68-10 (Ord. C. 7801 at seq.) which provides for the establishment of underground Utility Zones in those areas of the County where the public health, safety, or welfare require the removal of the overhead distribution system from the public streets, alleys or ways, and the replacement thereof with an underground system. It is the intention of this Board to conduct a public hearing to ascertain whether the public health„ safety, or welfare requires the removal of the overhead distribution system from the public streets, alleys or ways of the unincorporated area along Deer Hill Road between the easterly line of Happy Valley Road (at Enginearfs Station FLS-445+951) and the westerly line of Pleasant Hill Road (at Engineer's Station FL5-538+30t) as said Deer Hill Road is delineated on "project Plans for Construction on State Highway In Contra Costa County between Acalanes Road Undercrossing year Lafayette and 0.6 mile east of El Curtola Boulevard Over- crossing near Walnut Creek", approved June 5, 1967 (State Route 04-CC-240 MP 4.4/NP 8.9; Contract 04-332631)„ which plans are on file in Contra Costa County Public Works Department. At 11:15 a.m., on Tuesday, May 14, 1968, in the Chambers of the Board of Supervisors, County Administration Building, Martinesp California, this Board will conduct the said public hearing on the proposed establishment of Underground Utility Zone No. 2 in the area hereinabove described and at that time will hear the testimony of all interested persons for or against the establishment of the Zone and will determine if the public health, safety, or welfare requires establishment of this Zone and if Deer Hill Road is extensively used by the general public and carries a heavy volume of pedestrian or vehicular traffic. The Clerk of this Board is directed to publish the tent of this resolution at least once In the "Lafayette Sun", a newspaper circulated within the hereinabove described area, at least seven (7) days prior to the date herein fixed for the hearing. The Clerk is further directed to notify all affected property owners and utilities by mail of the time and place of such hearing at least ten (10) days prior to the date thereof.
