Incorporation of Lafayette ) (Gov.C. 6066 and 34310)
The Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Resolution No. 67/628 adopted on September 5 , 1967 , by
this Board gave notice that a petition for the incorporation of
an unincorporated portion of the County as a city had been filed
with it . Said petition was signed by the requisite number of
qualified signers and correctly described the boundaries of the
proposed city. And said petition may be inspected in the office
of the Clerk of the Board of Supervisors . The territory proposed
for incorporation was particularly described as set forth in the
Exhibit attached to said Resolution.
This Board in Resolution No. 67/628 also gave notice that
the name of the proposed city was LAFAYETTE and that the names of
the proponents stated in the "Notice of Intention to Circulate
Petition for Incorporation of Lafayette" were as follows :

Pursuant to Resolution No. 67/628 adopted on September 5,
1967, a public hearing was conducted on the incorporation of
Lafayette on September 26, 1967, and said matter was subsequently
continued to November 7, 1967. On November 7th this Board applied
to the Local Agency Formation Commission for approval of a change
of boundaries of the said proposed City of Lafayette from the area
described in Resolution No. 67/628 to a smaller area as described
in Exhibit "A" attached hereto and by this reference incorporated.

the time to complete the proposed incorporation to September 1 ,

At 10 A.M. on Tuesday, April 2, 1968, in the Chambers of
the Board of Supervisors , Room 107 , County Administration Building,
Martinez, California, this Beard will conduct a public hearing on
the incorporation of said territory described in Exhibit "A" as
the City of Lafayette. At the hearing written requests for
exclusion, and all persons wishing to be heard on the matter of
the size and shape and establishment of the boundaries of the
proposed city, will be heard and considered.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish the
text of this resolution once a week for two successive weeks , with
at least five days intervening between the respective publication .
dates not counting such publication dates, in the "Lafayette Sun,"
a newspaper of general circulation published in this County. The
period of notice commences upon the first day of publication and
terminates at the end of the fourteenth day , including therein
the first day .
PASSED AND ADOPTED on March 5, 1968, by this Board.
