CONTRA COSTA COUNTY, STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Revised Truck Rates Fred by the Pacific Inland Tariff RESOLUTION NUMBER 68/115 Bureau. WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors of Centra Costa County has been apprised that the Pacific Inland Tariff Bureau, for rate setting purposes, has removed portions of Contra Costa County from the Oakland rate zone and placed them in the San Jose rate zone; and WHEREAS this change has resulted in substantial increases in the shipping casts of manufacturers for the move- ment of less than truckload lots to the Pacific Northwest; and WHEREAS the revised rate structure is a deterrent to the attraction of new industry to Contra Costa County and dis- criminates unjustly against present shippers in Contra Costa. County; and NOW, THEREFORE, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that it strongly protests the aforesaid change in the truck rate struc- ture and urges the Pacific Inland Tariff Bureau to favorably consider the recission of the aforementioned action at its February 27, 1968 meeting in San Mateo, California. PASSED AND ADOPTED this 20th day of February, 1968, by the following vote. AYES: Supervisors J. P. Denny, J. E. Moriarty, A. M. Dias . NOES:: None. ABSENT: Supervisors T. J. Coll., E. A. Linscheid.
