Commuter Buses Crossing the )
San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge. )

'WHEREAS the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, California
received a request from the Alameda-Contra Costa Transit District for support of
the .District application to the California Toll. Bridge Authority for a reduction
in tolls for commuter buses crossing the San Francisco-Oakland Bay Bridge; and.
WHERE`4S said request was referred by the Board to its Administration and
Finance Committee (Supervisor J. E. Moriarty and Supervisor T. J. Coll) for review
and report on this date; and
Said committee having advised that it has reviewed the District toll
reduction request and believes that said request has distinct merit;
NOW, T11ERE ORE, BE IT BY THE BOARD RRSOLTI D that its Chairman, Supervisor
A. M. Dias, is authorized and directed to send a telegram to the California Toll
Bridge Authority urging approval of the toll reduction request of the Alameda-
Contra Costa Transit District so as to assist the District in maintaining its
fares at a reasonable level andso as to avoid District tax rate increases; and
BE IT BY `E, BOAPD FURTHER RESOLVED that its Chairman is authorized and
directed to send copies of said telegram to Governor Ronald Reagan and the State
Legislative Representatives of Contra Costa County urging their support of the
toll reduction request of said district.
