The Board of Supervisors of Centra Costa County RESOLVES I"h 'I;
Change of organization by dissolution of Count; service
Area L`35, located entirely in Contra Costa County, has been
petitioned by the Board of Supervisors of Contra Costa County.
The petition to ds. solve the serv°i. ce area was filed with the
Executive ve ecretary of the Local Agency Formation CQmissi on on
November 7, 1967. The petitoners allege that the reason for this
dissolution is that the dissolution of the county service area
will be for the interest of landowners within said County service
arca.
On December 6, 1967, the Local. Agency Fonmat'ion Commission
approved the proposal to dissolve the County :ServiceArea. L`35,
subject to the condition that any balance remaining in the funds
of said service area after dissolution shall be transferred to the
County Service Area L-46.
At 10:00 a. m. on Tuesday, January .30, 1968, in the
chambers of the Board of Supervisors, Administration' Building,
Marti nle , California, this board will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed dissolution of the County Service Area L_35. At this
hearing the testimony of all interested persons or taxpayers for
or against the proposed d.i.ss 3luti.on 6f said service area will be
heard. Any interested person desiring to make written protest
against the proposed dissolution shall do so by written cammu.nica-
tion filed with the Contra Costa County Clerk not Later than 10:00
a. m.. on Tuesday, January 30, 1.968. A written protest by an atoomer
of land shall contain a description sufficient to identify the
land owned by him,. A written protest by a. voter shall contain
the resi.dentia.l, address of such. voter.
At the conclusion of the hearing, the Board of Supervisors
sha.11 either disapprove the proposed dissolution, order the disso-
lution made without el.ecui.on, or order the dissolution.. subject to
confirmation by the voters of the service area upon the question
of such dissolution.

The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish the
text of this resolution once a. geek for two successive weeks in
the "Tri--Cit News," a newspaper of general circulation published
in this Count- and circulated in the territory of the service area
proposed to be dissolved. The first publication to be rade not
hater than fifteen (15) days prior to the hearing ',date. The clerk
of this Board is also directed to past the text of this resolution
on the bulletin board of this Board at least fifteen (l ) days
prior to the hearing date and such posting will continue to the
time of the hearing.
The Clerk of this Board Is further directed to give notice
by mailing notice of hearing at least fifteen (15) days prior to
the hearing date, t any affected county, city or district, the
chief petitioners, if any, and each person who bas filed a request
for special. notice with the County Clerk.
