HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011967 - 67-952 BEFORE THE BOARD OF SCPiRVISORS or COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, STA=-, OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of the Proposed ) Abatement of the Property of ) RESOLUTION 67{352 ) ) } WHEREAS, it appears from the records of this Board, that the Contra Costa County Building Inspector acting as the OEnforeezent Agency" pursuant to the provisions of Sections 1701.4 at seq., of Title: VIII of the California Admin- istrative dminiastrative Code, having determined that the building located at 1704 st and more particularly described as , [Dcok 80 ;s=8ge01,33, f;£'ntra Costa ':i:;onlhy records. is unfit for human habitation or occupancy, and is therefore a public nuisance, and said Building Inspector having posted said property with Not ce to Abaete xAsance and having notified the owner (a) of said property that it is unfit for human habitation or occupancy, in the manner provided by law as appears more particularly from the declaration of the Building Inspector on file herein; and WHRRFAS, the said building has not been repaired or removed as re- quired by said Notice to Abate Nuisance; and WHEREAS, said Building Inspector thereafter posted said property with No&ig .#rrvt AJ&U AujA&=t which Notice specified the time and places of the hear- ing before this Board for the owners of said property to show cause why the building thereon should not be condemned as a public nuisance, and the Build- ing Inspector having notified the owners of said property of said hearing in the manner provided by law, as appears more particularly from the declaration of the #14 2.65, 400 (Third Notice) 67 952 Building Inspector on file herein; and WHEREAS, the mAtter having come on for hearing by this Beard on Tuesday, December 19, 1967, at 10'.30 A.M. as provided in the Notice hereinabove mentioned; and TA EREAS, a representative of the Building Inspection Department appeared and offered evidence that the owner had made scam progress in the demolition and removal of materials of the structure with lot clean-up remaining, a continuance of thirty (30) days was requested to give the ower additional time to abate the nuisance thereof, and the Board having considered the matter and continued the hearing to Tuesday, January 23, 1968, at 10:30 A.M. PASSED AND ADOPTED on December 19, 1967, by the following vote: AYES: Thomas J. Coll, Alfred M. Dias, James P. fenny NOES: bone ABSENT. James E. Moriarty, Edmund A.
