RESOLUTION INITIATING PROCEEDINGS FOR THE
DISSOLUTION OF THE BAY POINT SEWER
MAINTENANCE DISTRICT
The Board ;if Supervisors of Contra Costa County RESOLVES THAT:
Change of organization by dissolution of the Eay Point
Sewer Maintenance District, located entirely in Contra Costa
County, as described in Exhibit "A" attache{ hereto and incorporated
herein, has been petitioned by the Board of Supervxiaors of Contra,
Costa County. The petition n to dissolve the district waa filed with
the Executive Secretary
of the Local Agency Formatio Commission
on August 24, 1967.e petitioners� district has

failed to furnish any services to or provide any facilities for
the use or benefit of residents, landowners, or property within
the district.
On October 4, !967, the local Agency Formation Commission
approved the proposal to dissolve the Bay
Point Sewer Maintenance
District subject to hfollowing conditions:
1 . Sa,.i:d District has been a non-userof corporate

powers and such condition will °continue, and said district has no
assets other than money An the form of ash or deposits
2. The proposed dissolution Is approved subject to the
condition that any remaining district monies be expended within

At 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, November 21, 196 in the
chambers of the Board oaf" uper isors, Administration uIld'ng,
Martinez , Ca l orni , this board will conduct a public hearing on
the proposed dissolution of the Bay Point Sewer t.intenanc
District. At this hearing the testimony of all Interested persons
or taxpayers for or against the proposed dissolution of said
district will be heard.. Any interested ;person desiring to makke
written protest against the. ,proposer dissolution shall do so by
written communication f ,zed with the Contra ,.Costa County Clerk
not later than 1000 a.m. on Tuesday, November K, 1967. A

written protest by an owner of land shall contain a description
sufficient to identify the land awned by him, A written- protest
by a voters shall contain the residential address of such voter.
At the conclusion ran of the hearing,, the ' va d of Super-
v;t.soTs shall either disapprove the proposed dissolution, order
the dissolution n ma without election, or order the dissolution,
subject to confirmation by he voters o the district upon the
question of such dissolution.
The Clerk of this Board is hereby directed to publish
the text of this esolut on since a week for two successive weeks
in the "Pittsburg Post Dispatch, " a newspaper of genera-1- ...
lat.ton published in this County and circulated in the territory
of the district proposed to be dissolved. The first publication i'
to be made not later than fifteen (15) days prior to he hearing

of this resolution on the bulletin board of this Board at least

will continue to the time of the hearing.
The Clerk of this Board is further directed to give
notice y nailing notice of hearing at least fifteen Ft la) days
prior to the hearing date to Bay Point Serer Maintenance District,
and each person who has fled a request for special notice with
the County Clerk.
