HomeMy WebLinkAboutRESOLUTIONS - 01011967 - 67-529 IN THE BOARD OF SUPERVISORS OF CONTRA COSTA COUNTYx STATE OF CALIFORNIA In the Matter of Authorizing Salary adjustments for County RECLUTICH NC. 671529 Employees for the 1967-1968 Fiscal. Year. The Administration and .Finance Committee of the Beard (Supervisors T. J. Coll and J. E. Moriarty) having this day recommended that the Board approve the recommendations of they Civil Service Commission presented in its report entitled "Salary Recommendations, June 1967,►' with the following e3xcep- tion.$ 1. No change be made in the 90 percent parity pay arrangement at this time and the extra allowances recommended by the Civil Service Commission for the classes of Equipment Mechanic., Combination Welder, Bridge Maintenance Carpenter, Equipment operator 1Z, in, the event that the 90 percent parity pay arrangement were continued, be disapproved; 2. :An extra two and one-half percent increase (above the five percent general increase) be allowed for the classifica- tions of Business and Services Manager and for the Supervisor of Weed and Vertebrate Pest Control which have been affected by organizational rearrangements; 3. An extra two and one-half percent allowance (over and above the fives percent general increase) be allowed for doctors .(in the classifications of assistant Health Officer, Public Health Dental Officer, Chief of Public Health Medical Services, District Health Officer and County Health Officer) permanently employed by the County Health Department in order to maintain the existing salary relationship between these positions and doctors permanently employed by the County Hospital; 4a The salary of the Chief Assistant Health Officer is increased to Ramage 86 ($1,881-$2,282) to conform with the provisions of Resolution. Number 5575 adopted by the Beard of Supervisors on September 29, 1966; and The Administration and Finance Committee having indicated that its recommendation includes a special review of compensation for Publ.ie Health purses and Registered Nurses after the first of January when the Board has available data whichwould indicate any changes made by ether jurisdictions on January' 1, 1.968; and The Board havingheld public hearings concerning employee compensation for the 17-1968 fiscal year and having fully considered the matter; RESOLUTION NO. 67529 NOW, THEREFORE,, BE IT BY THIS BOARD RESOLVED that the salary reeommendations of the Administration and !�Iinance Committee are APPROVED affective July Z, 1967- PASSED AND ADOPTED this 31st dad' of July, 1967, by the following vote of the Board.- AYES# Supervisors James P, Kenny, Alfred M.
