WHEREAS young ng nveteras are returning everyday in
increasing numbers frau ViEt:3'1c^.m to joinolder veterans of earlier
conflicts in a quest for employment; and
WHEREAS these young veterans are being added in
increasing numbers to the civilian work force after 'their
personal sacrifices on the battle fields of Vietnam and are
seeking meaningful jobs in the community; nd
WHEREAS many older veterans of World War I! and of the
Korean conflict, who also made personal sacrifices in their time
of service in the armed forces, are not working through no fault
of their own or are not employed to the full potential of their
desired capacities; and
WHEREAS these veterans , young and mature, ' possess work
attitudes , motivation, skills and experience Ya:`:?ich pro;.old make
then significant assets in the business and Industrial life of

hereby proclaimed as "Hire a Veteran :;'eek" in the County of
Contra Crista., Californias and.
E IT BY THIS BOARD FURTHER RESOLVED that all prospective
employers are urged to plate position orders for employees trough
the local offices of the California State Employment Service so
that ;hese veterans may receive job referral priorities as pre-
scribed
by law.
