for Byron Boys Ranch (SB 543)- RESOLUTION NUMBER 67/216

WHEREAS the County of Contra. Costa has developed and is
operating the Byron boys ranch for the rehabilitation of
delinquent juveniles; and
WHEREAS the operating cost of this facility is well
over Q500 per month. per c4. ld; and
WHEREAS the state subvention to the county for the
operation of said facility
is`� $, 95 per r�5t.�t,month per child; and
WHEREAS thethear�.ot+.n f.a o.k.. said subvention has remained
unchanged for '! d
WHEREAS Senate Bill 50 has been introduced to provide
for an -increase in said subvention from $95 per mont. per child
to $165 per month per child; and
WHEREAS if Senate Bill 5:.10 is enacted into law, there
will be a significant impact in the direction of decreasing local
property taxes which have became extremely onerous;
NOW, T H EREFL,3RE, BE !T BY THIS ., fA 1:iESOL"%CsD, that
Senate Bill 543 is hereby endorsed and the Contra Costa County
representatives in the California :rotate Legislature are urges to
strongly support said proposed legislation.
PASSED AND ADOPTED this 21st dad; of March, 1967,, by the
following vote of the Board:
