(FAS Route d 95}. ?rod ect No. 3641-4190-66. i } WHEREAS the anticipated growth and development of the Lafayette area in the County of Contra Costa (including the construction of the Baa Area Rapid. Transit System) requires the Improvement of several arteria., streets such as the proposed construction of the extension of Olympic Boulevard. from Vice valley Boulevard westerly to Reli ez Station Road and Reliez Staticin Road. between Pleasant, Hill Road interchange and Olympic Boulevard; and. NHERT_AS Rel.iez Station Road is a portion of FAS Recite 79.01 and is an essential element in the City-County Thoroughfare System and. the: Select System of County Roads and City Streets, which has been adopted by the Board of Super- visors; and c ,HME E_S the proposed project provides for the extension of Re'liez Station Road, on new alignment between nPill oughby Lane and Olympic Boulevardas shown on the General Plan for the Lafayette area, adopted by the Board of Super- visors on March. 29, 1266, and conforms to the Master Plana of the county; and r1HERRIETS construction is proposed to start in July, 1968; and WHEREAS the total estimated contract cost of said p?'ojec:e, which is entirely within the urban area, is estimated to be $400,000; and WE EAS the county, prior to advertising for bids, v ll have acquired by purchase or condemnation, the right of way necessary for the improvement; and WHEREAS vise; county has considered the effect of the proposed financing in relation to the statutory formula contained in Section 188 et seq. of the :Streets and Highways Cade; and WHEREAS "lection 1433 of tie Streets and.
