Abatement of the Property of ) RESOLUTION
WHEREAS, it appears from the records of this Board, that the Contra
Costs, County Building Inspector acting as the "Enforcement Agency" pursuant to
the provisions of Sections 17011+ at seq., of Title VIII of the California Admin-
istrative Code, having determined that the building located at ::Fx
and more particularly described as

is unfit for human habitation or occupancy, and is therefore a public nuisance,
and said Building Inspector having posted said property with Notice to Abs.to
Nuisance and having notified the owner (a) of said property that it is unfit for
human habitation or occupancy, in the manner provided by law as appears more
particularly from the declaration of the Building Inspector on file herein; and
WHEREAS, the said building has not been repaired or removed as re-
quired by said Notice to Abate Nuisance, and
WHERr+AS, said Building Inspector thereafter pouted said property with
Notic .12 Abate Nuisance, which Notice specified the time and place of the hear-
ing before this Board .for the owners of said property to show cause why the
building thereon should not be condemned as a public nuisance, and the Build-
ing

this Board now finds that said building is unfit for bunaan habitation or oo-
cupancy by reason of the following deficiencies which are hereby found to

BE IT T, ERNFORE RESOLVED that said building is unfit for human habita-
tion or occupancy and is declared to be a public nuisance and the owners there-
o£ are hereby ordered to abate said nuisance within 30 days after a copy of
this Revolution along with Notice thereof has boon pasted to said property.
BE IT FURTHkR RESOLVED that it is the conclusion of this Board that
said building cannot be reconstructed or repaired in a manner so as to comply
with the provisions of Article 8 Chapter 9 of Title VIII of the California
Administrative Code or the Contra Costa County Ordinance Code and therefore
said building must be razed or removed.
IT I5 FURTHER ORDERED that the notice posted to said property shall
specify that if said nuisance is not abated, within the tial allow*d, said
nuisance will be abated by the Building Inspector of this County, and the ex-
pense thereof made a lien upon the land upon which said building {s} are
located.

I. Lack of lavatory in bathroom and facilities for washing clothes.
2. Sink cabinet top is not waterproof or sanitary.
3. Suck of water heater connected to plumbing system.
4. Heating unit to have sufficient capacity to maintain a room
temperature of 700 F., three feet (31) above the floor in
all habitable rooms.
5. Stack of minimum natural light and ventilation in bedroom.
6. Bedroom space dimensions are less than minimum required.
7. back of required electrical lighting and receptacles.
8. Indications of dampness noted in habitable rooms.
9. General dilapidation and improper _.maintenance.
10. Building lacks continuous masonry or concrete footing and foundations
for exterior walls. Lack of masonry or concrete pier foo Ings.
ll. Basement area partially filled with polluted water.
32. Ceiling heights through out habitable area (6' 1011) are less than
minimum.
13. Flooring and/or floor supports are of insufficient size to carry
Imposed loads with safety.
14. Members of walls, partitions, or other vertical supports are of
insufficient size to carry imposed loads with safety.
15. Horizontal members of ceilings and roof are of insufficient size
to carry imposed loads with safety.
16. Premises constitute-the nuisances defined by the 1964 Edition
of the Uniform Housing Code.
17. Electric wiring, service equipment, grounding, boxes, etc* are
maintained in a hazardous state.
18. Plumbing and fixtures are maintained in an unapproved and
hazardous state.
19. Mechanical equipment, including vents, are maintained In a
hazardous state.
20. Faulty weather protection.
(a) Large areas of interior wall board broken and removed.
(b) Windows and doers broken and panes out.
(c) Exterior wood portions of building are weathering
and deteriorating due to lack of proper protective
covering.
21. The premises are unsanitary and a fire hazard due to the
accumulation of weeds, vegetation, debris, .garbage$ stagnant
water and combustible materials.
