ORDINANCE NO 2 ORDINANCE NO. 351,, ORDINANCE g O NO. and ORDINANCE NO AND THEREBY S SH TATN LAND 5E DT3TRTC F R A 10 PORTION OF M MU UUMMO TEMITM 5P 5AID CO TY BEINfI MORE NDA ISCHOOL I ' 11 D S i 1 E 12 --------- 13 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa do 14 ordain as follows, to-wit: � I 15 SECTION 1: Ordinance No. 278, entitled, "An ordinance of 16 the County of Contra Costa, State of California, defining and 17 ;j establishing certain temporary land use districts; applying certai Is 18 i temporary regulations as to the use of land, buildings, structuress I' 19 ?j and to the erection, construction and alteration of structures ands F 20 to the improvements placed on certain lands pending the adoption 21 by the Board of Supervisors of a comprehensive zoning or distriet-I 22 ing plan; and prescribing the method of enforcement in establish- E 23 Eing said Interim Land Use Districts and penalties for violation � 1� 24 of any provisions hereof,t` passed and adopted by the Board of 25 Supervisors of the County of Centra Costa, on the 29th day of Apri 10 26 1940, and amendments thereto, is amended by adding Section 3q, 27 E which said section shall fallow immediately after Section 3p, anal 28 which shall read as follows: I 29 SECTION 3q: An Interim Laud Use District specified and 1 30 defined in Ordinance No. 278 and its amendments and set forth in , 31 said ordinance and its amendments as an "Interim Residential i i l ............... EE IE i H H District" is hereby established for a portion of the unincorporat-I i H 2 ed territory of the County of Contra Costa,, State of California, 3 said unincorporated territory being a portion of the Orinda Union I 4 Grammar School District not heretofore covered by any zoning ordinance or amendment thereto. The district hereinbefore mention 6 ed is set forth, established, defined and delineated on a map 7 which said map is entitled, "The Interim Land Use District Map 8 for a portion of the Orinda Union Grammar School District." 9 Said interim land use district as set forth on said map establish- 10 ed said land use regulations for this area as set forth in Ordin- 11 ante No. 278 and its amendments. Said Interim land use district 12 as set forth on said map hereby establishes such land use regula- 13 tions for this area as set forth in Ordinance No. 278 and its 14 amendments, and is specifically defined in Ordinance No. 297 which 15 is an amending Ordinance to Ordinance No. 278. The regulations 16 as to the uses of land apply to the districts so delineated on 17 the map which said uses of land are defined in Ordinance No. 278 18 and its amendments. Said map heretofore mentioned as. "The Interim 19 Land Use District Map for a portion of the Orinda Union Grammar 20 School District" is hereby made a part of this ordinance, which 21 said map was dull approved and signed by the Board of Supervisors 22 of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, on June 23, 23 11947, and said map being a part of this ordinance shall be duly 24 published with this ordinance bearing the signature of the Chair- 25 man of the Board of Supervisors and that of the County Clerk. A 26 photostatic or exact copy of said nInterim Land Use District Map 27 for a portion of the Orinda Union Grammar School District" is like 28 wise made a part of this ordinance and hereby becomes Page 5 of 29 this ordinance. The territory covered by this ordinance is set 30 forth on the above mentioned map and consists of unincorporated 31 territory of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, whit 2 FI 1 is more particularly designated and delineated on said map as a 2 strip of land 2,000 feet in width the center line of which is as 3 follows: Said center line beginning at a point on the easterly 4 boundary line of Interim Land Use District No. 6 of Ordinance No. 5 245 as amended by Ordinance No. 253 which said point is likewise 6 i on the center line and coincident to the center line of the 7 Moraga Highway; the center line thence following from said point 8 along the southeasterly course of the Moraga Highway to its inter- 9 section with Glorietta Boulevard; thence said' center line followin4; 10 northeasterly along the center line of Glorietta Boulevard to its 11 intersection with the Lafayette Water District line. 12 SECTION 2: ENACTMENT AND ADOPTION: This ordinance is 13 hereby declared to be an urgency measure and shall take effect, 14 and. shall be in full force immediately upon its adoption and 15 within fifteen (15) days of said adoption shall be published 16 together with the map accompanying said ordinance, with the names 17 of the members voting for and against the same, once in the 18 LAFAYETTE SUN.. a newspaper of general circulation, printed and 19 published in said county. The conditions constituting such urgency 20 are as follows, to-wit: Certain uses of land, buildings, and 21 structures would, if established and conducted within any Interim 22 Land Use District established by this ordinance, be a menace to 23 the public heath, safety and general welfare. Said Board of Super 24 visors hereby finds that various persons intend to erect buildings 25 or structures and to use the same, and to use land for such pur- 26 poses, and will do so unless restrained therefrom. The immediate 27 operation of this ordinance is therefore necessary in order to 28 protect the public health,, safety and general welfare. 29 THE FOREGOING ORDINANCE was passed and adopted by the 30 Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa at an adjourned 31 meeting of said Board, held on the 4th day of -August., 1947, by 3 i I 1 the following vote, to--vit: 2 AYES: Supervisors - S.
