17 The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra
18 Costa do ordain as follows, to-y-iit:
19 SECTION 1: ordinance No. 278, entitled, "An
20 ordinance of the County of Contra Costa State of California,
21 defining and establishing certain temporary land use districts;
applying certain temporary regulations as to the use of land,
22
23 buildings, structures and to the erection, construction, and
24ofa -"-

comprehensive zoning or districting plan* and prescribing the
26
27 method of enforcement in establishing said Interim Land Use
28 Districts and penalties for violation of any provisions hereor, 11
29 passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County
30 of Contra Costa, on the 29th day of April, 1940, and amendments
thereto, is amended by adding Section 3r which said

2 SECTION 3r; An Interin. Land Use District specified

3 and defined in ordinance No. 278 and its amendments and known
4 as an intern residential agricultural district is hereby
5 established for the portion of the unincorporated territory of the
6 County of Contra Costa, Mate of California., said territory being
7 the East portion of the Clayton. Valley Axea not heretofore covered
8 by any amendment to Ordinance No. 2'78. The district hereinbefore
9 mentioned is set forth, established, defined, and delineated

10 on a ma.p vnich said riap is entitled, "The interim Land Use
11 Districts Map for the 'past Portion of the Clayton Valley Area,

13 establish said land use regulations for this area as set forth

14 , in ordinance " o. 278 and its amendments. The regulations as to

15 the uses of land apply to the districts so delineated on the reap
16 4 2aich said uses of land are defined in Ordinance No. 278 and its j

17 amendments. Said map heretofore :mentioned as, " 'he Interim Land
18 Use Districts 1.ap for -1-1e Nast Portion of the Clayton Valley Area,#i
19 is hereby made a part of this ordinance w' ich said reap was duly
20approved and signed by the��1947,
�d of Supervisors of the County21 of Contra Costa on and said map shall be
22 published with this ordinance, and the original shall be signed by
23 the Chairman of the Board of Supervisors and attested by the
24 County Clerk and after its approval shall be permanently filed in
25 the office of the County Clerk. A photostatic reproduced copy of
26 said "Interi-m Land Use Districts 11ap for the East Portion of the
27 Clayton Valley Areae' is likewi s' e made a part of this ordinance and
28 hereby becomes page ,_� of this ordinance and is certified by
29 the County Clerk to be a true and, correct photostatic copy of

1 is hereby declared to be an urgency measure and shall take effect �

8 i ting such urgency are as follows, to-wit: Certain uses of
9 band, buildings, and structures could, if established and
10 1 conducted within any Interim Land Use District established b
11 this ordinance, be a menace to the public health, safety, and
12 I general welfare. Said Board of Supervisors hereby finds that

13 various persons intend to erect buildings or structures and
14 Ito use the sane, and to use Land for such purposes, and will
15 II do so unless restrained therefrom.. The immediate operation of

,1this ordinance is therefore necessary in order to protect th.e

17 i public health, safety, and general welfare.

of the Clayton Valley area, having been heretofore, on August 4,
1947, adopted by this Board, and Affidavit of Publication of
J Augustine showing publication of a copy of said Ordinance
N� 400 In the "Diablo Beacon," for the time and in the manner
as prescribed by law, having been presented to this Board;
On motion of Supervisor Ripleyl seconded by Supervisor
Taylor, IT IS BY THE BOARD ORDERED that said Ordinance No. 1+00
be and the same is herebydeclared duly published and IT IS BY
THE BOARD FURTHER ORDERED that said Affidavit of Publication
be placed on file.
The foregoing order is passed by the unanimous vote of
the Board members present.
