Section 6 of Ordinance No. 365 of the County of Contra Costa, is hereby amended to read as follows: (a) By changing the words "Purchasing Agent . . . . 27", to read "Purchasing Agent . . . . 29". SECTION III: Section 7 of Ordinance No. 365 of the County of Contra Costa, is hereby amended to read as follows: '?7. C011PENSATION FOR PROVISIOXYL AND TMEPORARY MUTLOYEES: Persons who are appointed to temporary positions and persons not al- ready permanent county employees who are appointed to permanent positions on a temporary basis after July 1, 1946, shall be compen- sated at the hourly rate which is equivalent of the minimum monthly rate of the schedule to which the particular class of position is allocated, except in such cases where the Civil Service Commission has determined that it is not possible to secure persons for such temporary employment at such minimum rate, and has authorized pay- ment of an hourly rate for such tempor ry employment which corres- ponds to one of the higher monthly ratan in the compensation schedule to which the class of position is allocated, then at such higher rate." The hourly rates, in this section hereinafter set forth are hereby declared to be the equivalent of the listed monthly rates which correspond to the monthly rates in the basic salary schedule, ................. ...........
