SECTION V. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, co- partnership, association or corporation, to leave, or cause or per- mit to be left, any outdoor or open fire unattended by any adult -person in the said E1 Sobrante County Fire Protection District of the County of Contra Costa, State of California. Before leaving any such fire, such person or persons in charge of such fire shall thoroughly extinguish same by completely covering it with dirt, saturating it with water, or otherwise treating it in such manner to prevent rekindling of such fire. SECTION VI. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, co- partnership, association or corporation to place or maintain, or to cause or permit to be placed or maintained, any obstruction, whether permanent or movable, before or upon any fire escape, exit, foyer, aisle, passageway, corridor, or any other means of egress from any theatre, church, hospital, auditorium, meeting hall, or ether place used for public assemblage, while open to the public, in the said El Sobrante County Fire Protection District of the County of Contra Costa, State of California. No persons shall be allowed to stand or assemble in the aisles or passageways, during any time while any of the aforesaid describ- ed buildings or places are being used for public assemblage. All exit doors of such buildings or placers shall open out and during the use of such a building, or place, for public assemblage, shall not be fastened in any manner except by self-releasing hard- 2 wase installed thereon, which doors and hardware shall be maintain.- . ed to open freely. SECTION VII. It shall be unlawful for any person, firrr-, eo- partnership, association or corporation to accumulate, or to cause or permit the accumulation of rubbish, rage, paper or other inflamablea refine in any theatre, church, hospital, auditorium, meeting hall or other place used for public assemblage in the said El Sobrante County Fire Protection District of the County of Contra. Costa, Mate of Cal- ifornia, in such manner as to constitute a fire menace. SECTION VIII. It shall. be unlawful for any person, eo-partner- ship, firm, association or corporation to disobey the lawful orders of any public officer or fireman in the immediate vicinity of the burring of brush, stumps, logs, fallen timber, fallows, slash, grass, grain, brush or forest covered land, or any other infl.amabl,.e material in the said E1 Sobrants County Fire Protection District of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, or offer any resistance to or interfere with the lawful efforts of any public officer, fireman, or company of firemen., ' to extinguish the same.. or engage in any die- orderly conduct calculated to prevent the same from being extinguish- ed, or forbid, prevent or dissuade others from assisting to extin- guish the same. SECTION IX. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm,, co- partnership, association or corporation to ride, drive or propel any vehicle or conveyance upon, over or across any fire hose or chemical hose used by or in chane of any fireman or company of fire- men in the said El Sobrante County Fire Protection District of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, or to injure or damage in any manner any such hese or fire apparatus of any kind. SECTION X. It shall be unlawful for any person, firm, co- partnership, association or corporation to park any vehicles upon any street or highway within threes hundred (300) feet of any burn- ing building, or other burning structure, in the said El Sobrante County Fire Protection 'dist-riot of the County of Contra Costa, State of ``eliforn1a.; prov .ded, hove-.er, that trh _s sentIor sh,%ill not apply to vehicles of polies officers or firemen t znless authorized by the Fire Officer in charMe. SECTION XI. Any person, firm, co-partnership, association. or 4�orporati,on violating any of the provisions of tbis ordinanne shall be ^uilty of a misdemeanor and shall rpon conviction, be punished by a fine not e ceedin7 Five Hundred Dollars (9500,00) or by imprison- ment not exceeding six months or by botn such fine and imprisonment Yverv- separate act or transactlon in violation of this ordinance shall be deemed a separate offense. SECTION XII. 'This ordinance shall take effect after the same shall have been posted in three (3) of the most public places in the said El Sobrante County Fire Protection District for a period of two (2) weeks.
