AN ORDINANCE REGULATIEG PARKING UPON TWENTY-THIRD STREET,
RICFM1OND, CALIFORNIA., A PUBLIC HIGHWAY OF T11rT COUNTY OF
CONTRA COSTA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, OUTSIDE OF THE INCOR-
PORATE D CITY LPMITS OF RICHMOND, CALIFORNIA.
The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa do ordain
as follows:
SECTION ONE: It shall be unlawful for any person to park any
vehicle between "No Parking" signs along the easterly side of Twenty-
third Street from the southerly boundary of the property of Richmond Union
High School District, described in a deed from Fred T. Wood, et ux. ,
dated February 28, 1923 and recorded March 6, 1923 in Volume 435 of Deeds,
page 115, records of Contra Costa County, California, northerly to the
northerly boundary of said property,
SECTION TWO: "PARK". The term "park" , as used in this ordinance,
shall mean to stand a vehicle, or allow the same to stand for a period
longer than actually necessary for the loading or unloading of passengers
or materials,
SECTIO14 THRM: PENALTY. All persons violating any of the terms
of this ordinance shall be guilty of a misdemeanor, and upon conviction
shall be punished by a fine of not exceeding Fifty Dollars ($50-00) , or
by imprisonment in the County Jail for not more than five (5) days;
for the second offense within the period of one (1) year's time by a
fine not to exceed One Hundred Dollars ($100.00) , or by imprisonment
in the County Tail for not more than ten (10) days, or both; for the
third offense committed within one (1) year by a fine not to exceed
Five Hundred Dollars (1500-00) , or by imprisonment for a period not to
exceed six (6) months in the County Tail, or by both such fine and im-
prisonment.
SECTION FOUR: This ordinance shall take effect thirty ( 30) days
after the date of its adoption, and prior to the expiration of fifteen
(15) days from the pa a hereof be published for at least one

(1) week in the a newspaper printed and pub-
lished in the County of Contra Costa, State of California, together
with the names of the members of the Board of Supervisors voting for
and against the same.
Adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
on the I.L day of 1943, by the following vote of
the Board, to-wit:
