AN ORDINANCE TO AM END SECTION 25 OF ORDINANCE 315 OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA COSTA, STATE OF CALIFORNIA, RATING TO THE REGULATION OF THE COMPENSATION OF OFFICERS OF THE COUNTY OF CONTRA. COSTA, AND To PRO- VIDE FOR THE NI BER, APPOINTWMS., T WS AND CaM- PENSAXION OF DEPUTIES AND HWLOYZES THEREOF. The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, state of California, do ordain as follows: I. Section 25 of Ordinance No. 315 of the County of Contra Costa, State of California, is hereby amended to read as follows "25 SALARIES - HOW PAID Salaries of all officials, deputies, clerks and employees herein provided for shall be paid by the County in monthly installments at the same time and in the same manner, and out of the same fund as the sal- aries of County officers are paid, except as herein otherwise ordained; provided, however, that the salary and compensation of all clerks, enVP - gineers, copyists and employees of every kind, morking on a per diem basis, shall be paid only upon their filing with, and allowance by the Beard of Supervisors of said County, of their duly verified claims for the sum due them; provided, however, that no claims shall be approved or allowed for compensation for more than one-half (1/2) day for Satur- day work, except in those cases in which an employee works more than one-half (1/2) day on Saturday, and provided, further, that at the else- tion of the employee, indicated by written instructions of such employ- ee, filed by him with the County Auditor, a portion of his salary or wages may be paid on his behalf direct to his insurer to cover the amount of the monthly premium on any insurance contracted for by him under any group insurance plan arranged by him in conjunction with other employees, All ordinances or parts of ordinanoes in conflict with this ordinance are hereby repealed." 1. This ordinance shall take effect and be in force from and after the 1st day of December, 1943, and before the expiration of fifteen days after the date of its passage the same shall be published with the names of the members voting for and against the sane in the Contra Costa Standard, a newspaper printed and published in the County of Contra Costa.
