The Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa do
ordain as follows, tomawitoD
Ordi.nanee No. 245, entitled "An Ordinance of the County of
Contra Costa, state of California, instructing the County Planning
Ccissi.on. of said County to prepare a zoning or districting plan
as a part of the Master Plan of said County, applying certain regu-
lations to the use of 1 and, buildings and structures and to the
erection, construction and alteration of buildings, structures and
improvements, pending the adoption by the Board of supervisors of a
Zoning or Bistri.cti.aag Plan; and prescribing penalties for the vio-
lation of any of the provisions hereof"., passed and adopted by the
Board of supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, on. the 14th day
of DecOmber, 1936, as mended bar Ordinance No. 247 , passed and
adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa
on the 19th day of March, 1937 , and as further amended by Ordinanc=e
No. 249, passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors of the County
of Contra Costa on the 7th day of Tune,, 1937, and as further amended
by Ordinance No. 253, passed and adopted by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Contra Costa on the first day of November, 1937, and
as further amended by Ordinance No. 256, passed and adopted by the
Board of Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa on the 6th day

of December, 1937, is hereby amended by adding a new section, to be
designated Section 5(g) , which said Section 5(g) shall follow immedi-
ately after Section 5(f) , and which shall read as f ollo s
SECTION I0
Section 5(g) . Interim Land Use District 'o. Nine is hereby
established, consisting of the following described territory
All that portion of the unincorporated territory
of the County of Contra Costa which is described as

Beginning at a point at the fence corner between
the lands of Dukes , Rogers and the herein described
property (said po int being the N.E. corner of Lot 1 as
shown on a map made by To A. Tal lyr and, County Survey-
or, on. April 10th, 1869 and recorded) * thence S. 270
Olt E. along the Westerly boundary of Rogers property,
2626.2 ft. to station, thence S. 0° 03t W. along MoVickerts
'Fest line 664.5 ft, to the Northerly boundary of ghat was

S.E. c or. of lot 20 described as follows. Beg inning at a
point on the center line of the Lafayette-Martinez Co. Road
at the I .R. cor. of said Geary dace; thence West along

thence East 827.5 ft, to center of said Co. Road; thence

beginning containing an area of 0.57 acres.

Being a tract of land delineated and so designated
upon that certain Map entitled "Map of Subdivision No. 1
of Brook ood Acres". filed April 22, 1913 in Book 9 of
Maps, page 217, of the County Re c order of the County of
Contra Costa, state of California, together with the ad-
ditional adjoin portion of land above described,
SECTION TT.
This ordinance is hereby declared to be an urgency measure
and shall tape effect and shall be in full force immediately upon its
adoption and within fifteen (l5) days after said adoption. shall. be
published with the names of the members voting for and against the
same for one (1) geek in the Cont ra Cosa standard ,
a newspaper of general circulation, printed and published in said
county. The conditions constituting such urgency are as follows., t o--
wit: Certain uses of land, buildings and structures would, if estab-
lished and conducted within any Interum Land Use District established
by this ordinance, be a menace to the public health, safety and general
we if ars. said Board of Supervisors hereby finds that various persons
intend to ereot buildings or structures and to use the same, and to
use land for such purposes, and will do so unless restrained therefrom.
The mediate operation of this ordinance is therefore necessary in
order to protect the public health, safety and general welfare,

FOREGOING ORDnL4TCE was passed and adopted by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Contra Costa, at a regular session of Said
Board, held on the 20th day of June, 1938, by the f ollowing vote,
