An Ordinance Amending Ordinance
No. 190 of the County of Contra.
f�osta, Entitled "An Ordinaner
Regulating Travel Over and Along
Highways, Roads, Streets, Lanes
and Alleys in the County of Con-
tra Costa,and providing a Penalty
for violations Thereof."
The Board of Supervisors of the
County of Contra Costa do ordain
as follows, to wit:
Ordinance No. 190, entitled, "An
ordinance regulating travel over and
along highways, roads, streets, lanes
and alleys in the County of Contra
Costa, and providing a penalty for
violations thereof," passed and
adopted by the Board of Supervisors
of the County of Contra Costa, on
the 15th day of August, 1927, is
hereby amended by adding a new
section thereto, as follows:
Sec. 1. "Section 2a. The follow-
ing described portion of the public
highways and streets in the County
of Contra Costa, State of California,
for the purposes of this ordinance,
are hereby defined as, designated
and called boulevards or main or
trunk line roads:
All that certain road leading in
an easterly direction from the east-
erly corporate boundary line of the
City of Pittsburg, in said county, to
the point east of the Great Western
Electra Chemical Company plant,
which said point is the point where
said public road turns at right-
angle to the south-and leads south-
erly across the tracks of the Atchi-
son-Topeka and Santa Fe Railway
Company to the main highway from
the said City of Pittsburg to the
town of Antioch in said county, and
which said road is commonly known
as and called the extension of Third
street."
Sec. 2. This ordinance shall take
effect and be in force from and
after the 15th day of November, 1928,
and at the expiration of fifteen (15)
days after the date of its passage,
the same shall be published with the
names of the members voting for
and against the same for one week
in the Pittsburg Post, a newspaper
PTinted and published in the said
,,County of Contra Costa.
The foregoing ordinance was
passed and adopted by the Board of
Supervisors of the County of Contra
Costa, at a regular session of said
board,held on the 15th day of Octo-
ber, 1928, by the following vote, to
wit:
Ayes: Supervisors Olsson, Knott,
Hayden and Buchanan.
Noes: None.
Absent: Supervisor Trembath.
