eompensation over eertain pertlea
of the publie highways of the Coun-
ty of Contra Costa, State of Calif.
ornia, and providing a penalty for
the violation thereof, and for the
time this ordinanee shall become ef.
feetive.
The Board of Supervisors of the
County of Contra Costa, State of Cal-
ifornia, do ordain as follows:
Section 1. No person, firm, copart-
nership or corporation shall operate
any automobile,.Jitney bus, auto truck,
stage or auto stage used in the busi-
ness of transportation of persons or
property, or as a common carrier for
compensation over the followin90unty"de-
cribed public highways of the
of Contra Costa, to wit:
Over that portion of the public high-
way of the County of Contra Costa,
State of California, commencing at
the boundary line between the Coun-
ties of Contra Costa and Alameda
where the same crosses said highway
leading from Dublin, Alameda County
to San Ramon, Contra Costa County,
from the said boundary line between
said counties running northerly
through San Ramon,. Danville and to
the southerly boundary line of the
town of Walnut Creek; also that cer-
tain highway commencing at the
northerly boundary line of the town
of Walnut Creek and leading in a
northerly direction through Pacheco
to the southerly boundary line of the
town of Martinez in said County; also
that certain highway leading from
the Walnut Creek-Martinez road, here-
inabove last described, in an easterly
and northerly direction to the south-
erly boundary line of the town of Con-
cord, in said County, also that cer-
tain highway commencing at the east-
erly boundary line of the said town
of Concord leading in a northerly
direction past the village of Clyde to
the town of Bay Point and through
the towns of Bay Point and Nichols
to the westerly boundary line of the
City of Pittsburg, in said County; al-
so that certain county highway com-
mencing at the easterly boundary line
of,, the town of Walnut Creek and
leading in an easterly and northerly
direction through Ygnacio Valley past
the Oak (trove School House to the
Intersection thereof with the above
described road leading from the Wal-
nut Creek-Martines road to the town
of Concord; also that certain concrete
paved highway leading from Antioch
to Oakley, Brentwood and Byron, com-
mencing at the intersection thereof
with the county road leading from
Antioch to the Southern Pacific Rail-
