An Ordinance Amending Section 8 of
Ordinance No. 154 of the County of
Contra. Costa, stage of Califetai 4
and Providing for the Transfer of
Licenses in Certain Cases from One
Vehicle to .Another, and Providing
for the Time That This Ordinance
Shall Go Into Effect.
The Board of Supervisors of the
County of Contra Costa, do ordain as
follows:
Section 8 of Ordinance No. 154 of
the County of Contra Costa, State of
California, is hereby amended to read
as follows, to wit:
Section 8: Transfer: No person,
firm, copartnership, or corporation to
whom license shall be issued hereun-
der shall transfer, loan, rent, sell to,
or permit the use by another of such
license. No license shall be transfer-
red from the vehicle originally li-
censed to another vehicle, save and ex-
cept, as follows, to wit: A person,
firm, co
wartnership, or corporation to
whom a license shall have been issued
hereunder to operate a certain vehicle,
which sells or disposes of said vehicle
by an actual transfer thereof and sub-
sequently purchases another vehicle
In place of said first licensed vehicle,
may upon application to the Tag Ool-
lector and the payment of an addition-
al license fee, in the event the rated
capacity of the vehicle sought to be
licensed is greater than the capacity
of the vehicle disposed of, secure a
transfer of the original license to the
newly obtained vehicle upon applica-
tion therefor in the same manner as
provided for the application for a li-
..cense.
THIS Ordinance shall take effect
and be in force from and after the
24th day of January, 1923, and sh4Ll1
be published before the expiration of
fifteen days after the date of its pas-
sage with the names of the members
of the Board of Supervisors voting for
and against the same for one week in
Contra Costa Standard, a newspaper
published in the said County of Contra
Costa.
Passed and adopted this 18th day of
December, 1922, by the following
votes:
Ayes: Supervisors Zeb Knott, C. H.
Hayden, W. J. Buchanan and R. J.
Trembath.
Noes: Supervisors—None.
Absent: Supervisor--J. P. Casey.
