Costa County do or- dain as follows: Section I. Licenses under this Ordinance for transacting; or carrying on any or either of the buslness,trade,profe sion or calling. herein mentioned,is hereby established as follows: (A) Every person, firm or corporation enCa; ed, in barking , lendin-g rioney at Unterest,or lbuyiag or selling notes,bonds,or other evidence of indebtedness of private perscns,or in buying or selling State,County or City stock or other evidence of State , County or City indebtedness, or stocks or nots,bonds or other evidence of indebtedness of incorporated companies, or in. buying or selling gold dust,,,-.,old or silver bullion,or ,,old: or silver coin,a,re divided into two classes and -�v.st pay License therefor as follows: I.Those doing, business in the Vgre a,te to the amount of Five Thousand Dollars or Tiore per quarter, Constitue the First Cla:ss,and rust pay a. license of One hundred and Twenty Dollars D e r annum. 2. Those doing business to an a cunt less than Five Thous- and Dollars per quarter constitute the Second Class, and must pair a License of Sixty Dollars per annum, (B.) Those making average monthly sales of less than Five qun.dred Dollars constitute the Eighth Class, nd must pay One Hun- dred Dollars per annum. Provided. . . .That this section shall not be construed as out prizing t4-e sale of ale, wine, beer, or distilled or intox- icating nto- i;cating liquors of any kind,,nor are they to be included in; the goods,wares,or merchandise hereinbefore mentioned.,n' person, firm or corporation who sells ale,wine beer or distilled or intox- icating liquors in quantities of one quart or more shall pay Fifty Dollars per annum for £ License therefor. (C.) For the selling of drugs or F-edioines at a fixed place of business a License -lost be obtained and paid for as Fo1lowis I.
