HomeMy WebLinkAboutORDINANCES - 12091997 - 97-45 Ordinance No. 97- 45 (County Purchasing Procedures) The Contra Costa County Board of Supervisors ordains as follows (omitting the parenthetical footnotes from the official text of the enacted or amended provisions of the County Ordinance Code): SECTION I. SUMMARY. This ordinance authorizes County purchase of certain items without using the county purchasing agent if an authorized procurement card is used. SECTION II. Section 1108-2.224 is added to the County Ordinance Code to read: 1108-2.224. Purchases by Procurement Card. Except as otherwise required by ordinance or general law, the board of supervisors, by resolution, may authorize county departments and officers to purchase supplies, equipment, materials, goods and other personal property without using the purchasing agent if a procurement card authorized by.the County General Services Department is used. Such purchases may only be made as provided for by board resolution, any applicable county administrative bulletin and in accordance with current appropriated budget accounts. As appropriate or necessary, the Director of General Services shall report to the County administrator on the purchasing done pursuant to this section. (Ord. 97-45.) SECTION III. EFFECTIVE DATE. This ordinance becomes effective 30 days after passage, and within 15 days of passage shall be published once with the names of the Supervisors voting for and against it in the Contra Costa times, a newspaper published in this County.
